Zaadz… a Meaningful & Conscious Online Community

Picture 1

I’m sure at this point, all of us have joined or know someone who’s joined Friendster, MySpace, Match.com, Tribe or any other online community designed to meet people through cyberspace. Although new communities like this seem to be popping up all over the place, a new site, Zaadz (Dutch for “seed”) seems to be different in a really refreshing way. Unlike other online communities, the mission of Zaadz is to change the world, to…

“build THE most inspired community of people in the world… Imagine social networking with a purpose, a community of seekers and conscious entrepreneurs circulating wisdom and inspiration and wealth and all that good stuff. Fun fun fun.”

On Zaadz, you can meet people that share your same values, whether that means environmentalism, veganism, vegetarianism, compassion, authenticity, or basically anything else you could think of. Although still in the Beta stage, Zaadz has great potential to organize and unite progressive, like-minded activists through its online space. Its nice to see the internet being used for things like this.

This looks real interesting… I logged on, registered, but never got any confirmation email… checked my spam filter… not there. I’m still a bit puzzled as to what the end game is with this community… it’s not as evident as something like myspace for example. More comments on exactly what is going on there, at least for my benefit, would be appreciated.

Hi Remy. Please send me your e-mail address to matthew@zaadz.com, and I’ll look into what happened with your application. I’d also be happy to talk to you about our “end game.”

    Namaste,
    ~Matthew

I have been a part of the Zaadz community for a while now. It is great. There are “Zaadzsters” from every walk of life that want to make a positive change in the world. One of the few online communities I have found worth participating in. Thanks for letting others know about it!

Ann’s short article above summarizes well the purpose of Zaadz. As far as the “end game”, here are some clues! http://brian.zaadz.com/blog/2006/6/zaadz_a_summer_update
