Hi Hikers and Outdoor Lovers!

My name is Lindsay and I work with a great NEW company, located in the Humber Valley, Newfoundland, Canada. My Newfoundland Adventures offers 40 different trips year round. I thought I would post an note here, as many of our trips take part in the Appalachian Mountain Range in Newfoundland. Visit our website and check out all we have to offer, for your next trip to the rock!
Winter is here now and the snow is falling HARD outside. Getting ready for some backcountry winter fun!

Keep exploring,
Linds

I'm a HUGE Ed Abbey fan, Stumpknocker is a buddy of mine, and I'm an AT thru-hiker, so this entry caught my eye. I'm still old school when it comes to journaling though. I sent my hand written notes to my mother - who was my transcriber in 2000, The remainder of my journals on Leif & Zip's site were entered by me after the hikes.

I did the JMT this summer, and am starting to regret not keeping a journal. It's the first time I've hiked an entire trail, and not kept a journal. When I look at my photos - only 4 months old - already the names of many of the places are fading. I guess I'll have to go back out and hike it again someday!

Happy Trails!

Wow - that is a strange image of people on the trail clicking away. What's next? Mini-Starbucks huts on the AT? I know, it's not that bad. It is just hard for me to envision being out in the beautiful outdoors and still being "plugged in."
