I feel that lovingly fucking my woman using a rubber is a wonderful, experiencebut leaving a dirty condom in the wastebasket is not. So all our rubbers go down the toilet.after use.

Does vulcanization of latex yield sulphur dioxide in the process of manufacturing condoms. If Yes, Then its a form of pollution.

This is a bit ridiculous. If you are worried about this minutia you are lost anyhow. Its a condom for petes sake, maybe a few grams of material, and its organic anyhow. Latex comes from rubber trees.

Sidenote: The billion dollar idea for the next 20 years will be to be a marketing major, and market products to people this this blogger that will buy anything if it says organic or any of the other buzzwords they think are so fabulous. Quite ridiculous really. The irony is that the organic products many of these people consume actually cause more pollution than their non organic counterparts. Example. Did you know it takes more chemicals to process organic fabric than to just grow regular cotton? The regular cotton plants produce product more efficiently, use less space and the higher yield and easier processing means that yard for yard, traditional cotton is more environmentally friendly.

I am sorry , but how lazy is that?! Why can't you just wrap some paper around the used condom before you put it in the trash. No one will notice it and it won't end up washing up on your beach.

Having two children we do our part to limit populatiom growth. My wife and I always fuck with a rubber, but there enviornment considerations end as our used rubbers are flushed down the toilet. Can't win 'em all.

Katie; There are circumstances where flushing condoms down toilet is the only reasonable disposal. here was my situation. When my girlfriend (now ny dear wife) and I first had sex in her apartment we used condoms as contraceptives. But with two young inquisitive children from a previous marriage, she didn"y want evidence of our loce making in her wastebasket. I wraooed the used rubber and put it in my pocket for later disposal. After that episode they were flushed without regrets.

I have used lots of condoms in my love life and have disposed of all down the toilet (never had one fail to flush ok) This is certainly the most convienenct disposal and furthermore my wife doesn't like my leaving them in the waste basket. So does just one more rubber in the sewage matter?

This is interesting. I've never really thought about the environmental effects of condoms, but I can see that they can be a problem. It might be a good idea for condom manufacturers to look into making eco-friendly condoms. Since they're already helping people protect themselves from STDs and unplanned pregnancies, why not help protect the planet as well?

Dang! I should have married a Hungarian! Perhaps this was the reason for my infertility? My poor husband with his terribly low sex drive is content to have sex 12 times a year. I wonder where this places us on world average?
