Would You Get Naked to Draw Attention to Climate Change?

I feel like it’s been naked people all over lately! I was just at the beach in Martha’s Vineyard (which is why there were so few posts last week) and I stumbled across the ‘nudist’ part of a far-flung beach, and now this news!

Greenpeace is sponsoring the photo shoot by famous nudie photographer Spencer Tunick. Some 600 nudists were arranged on the gorgeous Aletch glacier in Switzerland. Why on a glacier? “Environmentalists regard glaciers as key indicators of global warming and the signs are not good: glaciers are shrinking rapidly.”

Said one participant, “It’s a small thing to do to make a difference in the world, not to be a Bill Gates and leave a few billion dollars behind but to have some small impact of my existence here to hopefully get people to change the way we’re treating the planet.”

Being a Nudist I would have no problem with getting naked to draw attention to climate change. In fact being nude in the right cercumstances could help to reduce globle warming. During the summer being nude inside could reduce the need for air conditioning. Being nude in hot weather would reduce heat exastion and stroke. Swiming nude would eliminate the energy use to make swim ware. Being nude would eliminate the need for most summer clothing and the energy used to make it. Being nude outside help us to get our required amount of vitamin “D” there by acording to a recent study reduce the incidence of cancer, diabeties and other illnesses and reduce the energy to provide health care at the same time keeping us healthier.

I would do it. Depending on a couple of things. I would not travel too far. Also I think its silly to do it where its cold.. It doesn’t seem to me. That it would matter where your at. Personally. I think its silly to wear clothes any way. I say we protest. “public nudity”. Well except for the fact that I kinda got eaten up by mosquitos this early AM.

there is on photographer that likes to take pictures of nude people in large groups for things like this. I saw one in a shopping mall. that would be so fun to participate in. No bugs not to cold. get to be naked and make freinds. i’m voting go for it.
