Oh, Anderson, why are you such an idiot? “I don’t like nature very much?” I agree Courtney, it seems that someone reporting on such an important topic should have a little respect for his topic. Still, if even HE was convinced of the importance of this, then that bodes well for convincing all the other inactive folks that they should take action. Perhaps I’m too much of an optimist?

I haven’t seen this yet, but after reading comments from Anderson Cooper that included these gems: “What I really learned is you actually have to go into nature to report on the environment, which is sort of annoying because I really don’t like nature very much,” … and … “Jesus Christ! We really need to solve this whole environmental thing quickly, because I really don’t want to do it again.”

For now, I’ll stick with the BBC’s Planet Earth where the talkingheads are excluded and the story sells with the images. But perhaps I’m still a bit biased after hating on Cooper for his poor coverage of the 2004 tsunami.
