I think EVO looks great!
In response to SV above - you can't compare it to sites such as ethicalonestopshop.com as it is a different type of site. ethicalonestopshop.com and ethical superstore are department stores where you buy the products on the site and EVO is a shopping portal which directs you to other sites.

In the UK we have yet to have such a very comprehensive one-stop-shop as it were. We have, as yet, department stores like ethical superstore.com or ethicalonestopshop.com but nothing as wide-ranging as EVO.

The EVO folk are also very good about helping first timers who pitch up at the site figure out what in the heck the whole 'am i green' thing is all about. This is a key offering of EVO - educating people and helping them understand how much/how little they can do to get green.

Well done EVO and thanks Starre for the interview.

I've done more or less the same thing on my own website, but it has taken me 6 years and to quote Elizabeth "Dan is right that “someone with less passion and interest” might give up. I have overcome the certification issue [I hope] by keeping to certificated organic products only! To monetize the website is the biggest issue.. now that does require patience and faith. http://www.organicassistant.com/

Dan is right that "someone with less passion and interest" might give up. I think that is definitely a big issue... I am curious to see if and how a marketplace like Evo will be able to impact the streamlining of labeling and certification. It's hard to know anymore what "natural" even means.

Great interview Starre... Thanks

Elizabeth
