Ha, “a bit labor intensive”?? After converting three vehicles, and owning a converted vehicle myself, I can tell you that it is actually extremely labor intensive if you intend to not ruin your vehicle with “on-board” filtered oil. It is a smelly, messy and expensive process that you must really be committed to. Most people get really exited about this, but a year later when your trunk is covered in grease, and the injector pump on your car is shot because you didn’t take the time to properly filter the oil, reality sets in…

I think it’s really amazing that we can take what’s basically a waste product, and make it into a fuel for our cars and it’s not even that hard! To me, the solution to getting off oil and to lowering our carbon footprints is not singular, but combinations of using waste and other fuels- I think the future will see a whole variety of ways to power our homes and cars. It is an interesting time!!!
