Last season I wrote about how much I love Tatcha’s Aburatorigami papers, which demurely suck up facial oil from shiny patches; and now (after contacting me about their entire line of geisha-inspired toxin-free facial products), I have another fave product from the company.
Tatcha’s Polishing Powders have single-handedly re-surfaced my skin. Just a small palmful of the powder gets rubbed on an already-wet face, and massaged around. You can feel the grains dissolving, slowly but surely, which exfoliates a bit (turns out it’s the enzyme powder of rice bran, papaya and HADASEI-3 Bioactive Complex that does the real work), and then it turns into a smooth creamy cleanser. And yes, even those with sensitive skin can use it—it’s not harsh.
And it works, it works, it works! Baby-smooth skin (that isn’t hyperbole, I swear), no tightness, and it lasts all day, meaning when I washed my face at night after using it in the morning, the skin still looked much-improved (smaller pores, lighter lines). I also really like the one-step Camellia facial cleansing oil, which is ideal if you are a little intimidated to start washing with oil (nothing has improved my skin as washing twice-daily with oil, try it!), as it’s super-light. And Tatcha’s Brightening Serum really seems to have improved both the tone of my skin and diminished some red spots. But those powders…those, I can’t do without! See the ingredients info below.

With the Eco Chick Tested series, I’m all about hooking you up with products that are not only natural and healthy, but work—products that I would actually buy, even though I’m sent freebies all day long. This is one of those products.
Eco Chick Tested means that this product passes the personal ethical, health and environmental standards of the staff at Eco Chick (as any product we feature in any way has to); it also means that we genuinely love how it works, smells, and wears.
