A silk dress featured on sustainable design boutique Bastet Noir.
Bastet Noir‘s story began back in 2012 when the founder of the company, Daniela Milosheska, noticed that there was a total lack of online platforms to help to Balkan-region designers (this includes Serbia, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Albania, Greece, and others) reach the rest of the world. The magnificent designs and incredible craft of Balkan artisans has a long history, but fresh talent needed a booster. Along came Daniela Milosheska, who says:
Since the very beginning, our business model is focused on developing a sustainable business by offering hip and trendy clothes made from fair traded, natural and recycled materials. We like to think of ourselves as making fabulous totems of the feminine world while striving to make the world a little bit better place to live in. Our ethical policy is geared towards protecting the employees’ health and safety basic human rights. Special attention is paid to fair wages and fair payment as well as minimum age of employment. We are targeting young, independent and fashion savvy women who above all appreciate and respect the environment.
BastetNoir.com’s ultimate goal is to give a helping hand to young and promising fashion talents coming from the Balkan region to showcase and sell their designs.
