Shopbop.com's Earth Friendly Category
I’m not sure how long this has been around, but the fabulous shopping site, Shopbop has a whole category (alongside Top Sellers and What’s Hot) called Earth Friendly, featuring clothes, shoes and accessories that are made of organic cotton, bamboo, and other sustainable fabrics.
Needing a new flowey summer piece to top off my shorts (but that is still appropriate for going out in the city), I found some really great options.

What Could be More American Than the T-Shirt?
I love t-shirts, and after several seasons of super-feminine flirty blouses and dresses, they are making a comeback along with the nouveau grunge look. Of course, t-shirts and jeans are always in, but I for one am happy to retire some of my button-up tops for the easy t-shirt. And since grunge is back, I’ll be sporting mine with long-sleeves underneath come winter. Below find some great designs from companies that have organic t’s in lots of different styles.
100% organic, fair-trade t’s with political statements (perfect for pre-election season). This company is run by three women activists, so they get extra Eco Chick cred. (Yes that is Jamie Lee Curtis and Diane Lane on the left and right.) If you’re in the LA area, their new store just opened on 1284 Sunset Boulevard in the Echo Park neighborhood.
From the UK, they also have all sorts of clothing for men, women and kids, with a snowboarder/skater aesthetic. I love the repair things T for all those crafy chicks! All organic cotton.
Vermont-based online shop. Fab stuff, and they are having a summer sale right now!
Hand-dyed organic t’s that are made in the artist’s apartment. Featured in boutiques worldwide. Works of art, really!
