Eco Closet in Williamsburg, Brooklyn: A New Sustainable Fashion Destination

EC1
Eco Closet owner Lisa Joseph minds the till.

Eco Closet opened this past summer, rounding out a chic green shopping row in Billyburg; its next to Vaute Couture, the vegan coat store, and down the street from Bird. Run by the knowledgeable and friendly Lisa Joseph, who has an extensive background in fashion, the store carries some of my fave sustainable brands like Prairie Underground, Stewart + Brown, Ecoskin, Amour Vert, Smartglass, and Kris Nations. I had a great time shopping for a new cool striped sweater there, which had a relaxed and fun vibe.

We’ve combined our love of fashion and love of the earth to create a well curated collection of eco friendly brands and products that have the same ethics and beliefs. Everything on our site is either sustainable, re-cycled, up-cycled, made in the USA, or fair trade.
