Wellness-Focused Makeup Artist Rebecca Casciano Gets Us Glam!
Before our big night to celebrate Eco Chick’s birthday a few weeks back, managing editor Lindsay Brown and I got our makeup done—and of course we got glammed up by a celebrity makeup artist who is as passionate about clean, healthy living as we are: Rebecca Casciano (that’s her, above!).
For over 14 years, Rebecca has worked as a celebrity and fashion makeup artist, helping women around the globe look and feel their best. Rebecca is as sweet and genuine as they come; when you’re sitting in her chair you can feel the energy and passion she has for bringing out the most radiant, healthy you.
Rebecca and her assistant Lucie Sorel helped us look our best on our big night, meeting up with us in NYC’s lovely wellness-focused space, Savor Spa in the West Village. (They have a Woodstock, NY location, too!) Savor Spa offers everything from organic facials, deep tissue holistic massages and organic waxing, to eco-makeup applications and makeup lessons by Rebecca and her team.
I’ve only had my makeup done a couple times in my life and Rebecca started off with a consultation about my skin and what kind of look I was going for. We chatted about makeup and skin-care for awhile; I was familiar with about half of the brands at Savor, like Alima, Vapour Beauty, Ilia and Antonym, but there were quite a few that were new to me, including Om Aroma & Co. and Coola.
Om Aroma & Co. is an organic skincare line locally produced in the Catskills and Savor Spa’s sister company. The company employs and mentors women re-transitioning into the work force after taking time to raise children through its Dollars & Scents program.

In March of 2015, Rebecca founded the popular Sacred Beauty Salon Series, a live, group workshop that explores deeper notions of beauty along with practical makeup tips and inspiration. She even has a lovely lip color shade named after the experience!
Rebecca’s healthy beauty movement is now spreading across the country: Rebecca recently hosted a Sacred Beauty Salon at The Detox Market in LA and the first inaugural W.E.L.L. Summit in Boston.
