(Eco) Socks and Heels to Put a Spring in Your Step

Unless you live in Cali or Florida, the winter of 2011 continues….. and continues…. and continues….! However, what I’ve learned is that it never is too soon to wear summer clothes, and it is never too soon to kick those boots off and switch ’em for some heels (even if you can only do so at your best friend’s place or at home!). Or at least dream about the spring that IS coming soon.
Thinking spring, one of the newest indy trends are cute heels and sweet little socks, like these. What’s so awesome about this trend is that there are numerous variations, with so many options for heels and socks. The combinations are endless…..
My socks and boots combo 2
I fell in love with these socks called Happy Socks. They are unisex, are so adorable and come in numerous colors and multi-colors as well as patterns like these.
The pair I love the most are the Hemp socks that contain 25% Egyptian hemp, 55% recycled yarn, 17% polyamide, and 3% elastane. The socks are all manufactured in Turkey at a family driven factory thats been in business for 30 years!
It’s not only boots that work really well with socks, you can also wear them with open toed heels, or a great pair of pumps like Rihanna or Leighton Meester.
The socks are great to mix and match, you can wear them up to the knee or scrunch them down to your calf. I really love to pair my adorable socks with a pair of heeled boots from Jeffery Campbell, and a cute little dress.
