Eco Chick Escapes To: Adventure Trinidad!

It was a not-so-great Monday, and I was doing an inward gripe about my life, when all of a sudden it turned into the best Monday EVER, when I got an email from a friend asking if I’d like to tag along on a trip to Trinidad to explore the country’s adventure offering for women. And oh yeah- it was leaving on Sunday, in just six days. Of course I said yes!

The organizer of the trip is one Mr. Courtenay Rooks, who runs a wonderful eco tour service called Paria Springs.

We offer adventure, sporting, natural history, wildlife and cultural eco adventure tours with rustic, colourful Caribbean styled accommodations. Experience adventures that take you deep into rainforests, wetlands, savannas, along rugged coasts, to mountaintops or to stunning waterfalls.

Today was just the first day, and so far we have eaten amazingly delicious Trinidadian food, mountain biked the rainforest, and went swimming in a waterfall. More to come on Eco Chick Escapes, my new sister site, coming SOON!
