Edun’s Just-right Juxtaposing Jacket

edunjacketlg

If you’re only going to buy one new piece this autumn, might I suggest this deceptively simple black jacket from Edun? The bit of a puff in the shoulder means that the waist nips into an hourglass – even if you’re not one. I like the rough hewn edges of this piece, taking it down a level of formality, meaning it will still dress up denims, or dress down a black pencil skirt – or look completely perfect with the brightly colorful skinny jeans in shades like pumpkin, electric blue and tomato red that are so Fall, 2011. The ribbon-belt adds just a touch of feminine for some fashion juxtapositioning – the key to many a great ensemble.

Origami jacket from Edun, available at Juno&Jove, made fairly in China from organic cotton.
