Eco Chick is Now Part of Tom’s of Maine Goodness Circle (Woohoo!)
I’m excited to announce that we at Eco-Chick are now part of Tom’s of Maine’s Goodness Circle! I’ve long been a fan of Tom’s—and by long, I mean since I was a kid. My aunt and uncle loved the brand’s somewhat controversially flavored (and totally old-school) Propolis and Myrrh flavor, and while I could never go that far, I can’t really remember not using Tom’s toothpaste (in minty flavors, thank-you-very-much). At one point, my grandma bought me some Aquafresh because the commercial was so convincing, but even as a kid, I found it too sweet and fake-tasting and was back to Tom’s in no time.
Fast-forward to today, and I’m still cleaning my teeth with Tom’s (and I’ve never had a cavity!) and my partner, Simon, loves their soaps (he’s partial to the Daily Moisture Bar since he has dry skin but doesn’t like to take the time to moisturize). I’m so thrilled to be part of this awesome new group of bloggers (you can see all the other rad folks who are involved over here).
Here’s what Rob, Brand Manager of Citizen Engagement has to say about why Tom’s is reaching out to work with bloggers (it’s because they really care about what we all—and you all—think of them):
Tom’s of Maine has been in business for over 40 years, and we have always loved to talk to the people who buy and use our products. This open and honest dialogue has been a great way for us to get and share new information and, more importantly, has sometimes been used to guide the decisions we make as a company. Our consumers sometimes have the best ideas on the ways we can take care of their health, their communities, and our planet.
I’m really proud that we are part of this project; we’ll be bringing you news and new product announcements over the next months, so stay tuned!
