Smokefree Aromatherapy for a Lovely Smelling Home—Naturally

As I have covered here before, I am a scent-junkie. But I can’t abide fake or artificial smells, so when I was a teenager, I started learning about and using essential oils. Lavender is my favorite (that’s me picking my own at an organic lavender farm on Vashon Island in Washington), but bergamot is a close second and geranium and rose are definitely tied for third places.

Whatever your fave essential oils, he best way to enjoy essential oils is to use a diffuser, though you can also use them in an oil burner (which uses a flame). But if you don’t want to deal with the safety issues of flames on a candle, or the smoke of incense, an electronic diffuser is a smart way to go.

Gurunanda-oils

Recently, I got the chance to try out a diffuser and essential oils by Gurunanda, and I was really impressed. When it comes to the oils, all ingredients are grown and distilled on selected farms around the world. Lavender is sourced primarily from France; while citrus oils are sourced from Spain and Italy. Spice oils and mint come from the lush lands of India. They sell both individual oils, and also oils that are blended by the Ayurvedic experts at the company: I especially loved the Essential Oil Blends (Harmony and Tranquility were my favorites).

Gurunanda’s diffuser, which they were kind enough to send me to try out, works beautifully. It’s just so much more attractive and functional than other similar units I have used, and I couldn’t recommend it more highly. It’s durable, and works as it should (it’s amazing how many essential oil diffusers just stop working after a few uses, or never work properly from the get-go, which is frustrating and wasteful). I also love the clean, classy design of the diffuser—for some reason, many of the oil diffusers available online are really, really tacky looking, and this is something that you are going to be looking at often.

I’m pretty thrilled I found a safe, clean, nontoxic way to scent my home with gorgeous floral loveliness!

Note: I was provided free samples of essential oils and an oil diffuser by Gurunanda, but I only review products I really, really love, and this is definitely one of them.
