Health Is Beauty

Eco-Chick Tested: Inlight Organic Skincare for a Glowing Complexion

Clean beauty for Eco-Chick is quite rigorous: It means a non-toxic product that is made without a list of sketchy ingredients linked to harmful health effects from cancer, hormone disruption, to skin irritation. So, when we bring a product to you, that means we’ve not only used the product consistently, but that it’s been carefully vetted and it’s totally natural.

Since May, I’ve been using two products from Inlight Organic Skincare – a line recently launched in the US by Hug Your Skin – whose oil-based formulas are water and chemical free, provide high concentrations of phytonutrients; are cruelty free and vegan and vegetarian friendly. The products are formulated by renowned skin expert Dr. Mariano Spiezia who is widely considered the father of the organic beauty movement in Britain. Dr. Spiezia brilliantly combines ancient alchemy and modern science techniques to maximize the energy and beauty of each ingredient, bringing beauty to life in each Inlight product.

I’ll go ahead and swear by Inlight’s Under Eye Revive which I pat gently under my eye area around bedtime. Developed with star ingredients including camu-camu, gotu kola, green tea and green coffee, this small jar packs quite a nutrient-intense punch and has left this delicate area of my face looking and feeling rejuvenated, decongested and moisturized. I’m so smitten with it that I actually apply it lightly in the morning after my shower and before my daily moisturizer with SPF.

Inlight’s Night Balm is made with carrot seed oil, bitter orange, and calendula extract.

And even though we know that beauty starts from within, Inlight’s Night Balm will work magic while you sleep. I wake up with a dewy, ultra-hydrated complexion when I’m using the product (so long as I’ve consumed plenty of water the day prior). A nice nightly ritual I’ve enjoyed is giving myself a mini facial massage with the Inlight Night Balm, rubbing gently in a circular motion as I’m applying to the face and neck. Our founder and editor-in-chief, Starre, got me hooked on this lovely evening ritual as it stimulates circulation, releases inflammation and generally leaves me feeling centered and glowing.
