NYFW F/W 2016: Acid NYC’s Vibrant, Sexy Prints from Nature
ACID NYC’s signature style is modern silhouettes with vibrantly designed prints. Deriving influence from hidden beauty in their surroundings, designers Evelyn and Scott find splendor in nature, technology and visual aspects of the urban environment to create smart, sexy, and unique pieces that take fans of their brand from daytime to evening.
As a lover of prints, I got into the beautiful pieces that the designers blew up or scaled down on skirts, blouses and dresses. (There were designs for men, too.) And we love that all the pieces are Made in NYC.
“We find beauty in nature, technology and color chipped paint on a door in New Orleans, a computer circuit board or a photo we took of the favelas in Brazil,” say Acid NYC designers Evelyn Luna and Scott Chester.
Texture-on-texture, color, patterns and future-forward styling proved that these are clothes for the next millennium.
