With so many fashion and accessories designers working with recycled materials, it comes as a surprise that we’ve all ignored something right before our eyes…or I should say directly up above them.

Therein comes the designer Jessica Sapick, who recently launched Highbrow. Highbrow is Sapick’s line of handmade upcycled eyewear with signature clip-on eyebrow ornament.

Sapick, a native of Detroit, transforms broken and unusable frames that she’s received from New Eyes for the Needy into unique pieces available through custom order on her website.

While setting a trend to recycle existing eyeglass frames is amazing in itself, I love the inspiration behind an eye-catching design that literally make us all look up

I am so thrilled to have received my very own pair of Highbrows to encourage reducing waste through upcycling manufacture!
