The organic cotton Aino shrug is made by folding a square fabric into a knit, so there’s no cutting, and therefore, no waste.

Nurmi is a Finnish eco fashion company that makes a strictly edited line of pieces that are mostly seasonless and meant to last.

Nurmi clothes and accessories represent scandinavian minimalism with functionality, beautiful cuts and designs which fit many body shapes. All Nurmi products are ecological, ethical and transparent throughout the whole life cycle.

Nurmi-Aura-shirt-bw
The Aura shirt is made from deadstock materials from the 90’s.

According to Annalisa Nurmi, the designer and creative force behind the line, transparency is incredibly important. “This label [looks at] the whole life cycle criteria of a garment, and only uses sustainable fabrics such as organic cotton, hemp and repurposed materials. As of now, we’re the only Finnish fashion company to produce eco-jeans in Finland with hemp and organic cotton.” (Nurmi denim jeans will be available in Summer 2012.)
