Portable Loose Powder That Works? No Prob, says Jane Iredale

I’m not often crazy-impressed enough with a beauty product to do a standalone post on it, but Jane Iredale’s ReFill Me Loose Powder Brush warrants some individual praise, so here we go.

I’ve always preferred loose powder, but it’s so annoying to deal with when you’re traveling (even just around town, out to dinner, or back-and-forth to your job); messy, messy, messy. So, I stuck with pressed powders; which necessarily have more preservatives and ingredients—which means more potential irritations and allergies—not to mention that they’re heavier on the face than many of us would like.

Taking the Jane Iredale Loose Powder Brush out for a couple spins, I got the best of both loose and packed powder worlds: Total portability (the bottom of the brush locks in a really easy-to-use way, so you just shake enough powder into the brush for one application-there are very clear directions on how to work it); clean ingredients; and minimal waste—open the base and add any loose powder, so the brush can last as long as you don’t break it.

It’s just awesome. Smart engineering, great natural powder, and ideal size for portability as it’s all-in-one. This is now my go-to powder!
