Watch: The 3.5 Minute (NonToxic) Eye Makeup Look

Mineral Fusion

The secret to my simple eye makeup look for a recent day in San Francisco was two-fold: I used two different colors for eyeliner (Mineral Fusion’s Eye Pencil in Rough—a warm brown—on top, and the same pencil in Coal—a medium grey—on the bottom). I added a bit of Mineral Fusion’s Illuminating Primer on my browbone, and some just a bit of the gold-white shadow from the brand’s eyeshadow trio. A pat with Tatcha’s Aburotorigami blotting paper and a bit of Kjaer Weis lip color for a bit of warmth on the lips, and I was ready to go. (See below for a full list of products and links.)

This is a simple look that both brightens the eye from behind, while adding emphasis (with the liner). It takes all of 3 1/2 minutes to do my whole face (included the 30 seconds needed to apply the beauty balm before I do the eye), which is about all the time I have to spend on my face when I’m applying makeup.
