Naya's 'Renew Your Soles' Challenge: Day 1, Starre in Stripes

Nayashoessitting

I loved the idea behind Naya ShoesRenew Your Soles blogger challenge; Donate five pairs of still-usable shoes that you just not wearing in exchange for one pair of Nayas that will go with everything. This blogger challenge is also a competition; whichever of the completing bloggers creates the five best ensembles to go with the shoes, wins!

A close-up of my Lark boots. Love the zip detail and the solid heel.

I’m a big fan of Naya, which makes their shoes with veggie-tanned leathers and nonmetal dyes, nontoxic glues and come packaged in recycled and recyclable boxes. Also they are comfy and really wear well. (Check out the pretty summer outfit I made – also stripey! – with a Naya summer sandal.)

When I took this ensemble to the streets of NYC, I paired it with an organic cotton drapey cardigan, and my favorite new hat, made in Vancouver, which I picked up on a recent visit there.

So here’s my first outfit (and more to come shortly)! I’m wearing the Naya Lark ankle boots, with my Falke tights, an organic cotton striped People Tree dress I bought in London, a vintage tassel necklace, and a handmade ring I found at an art fair.
