Watch: Skin and Hair Care Protection for Winter Weather

image

The cold, (dare I say dreadful?), upcoming winter months can really do a number on our skin and hair. The cool temps and harsh winds are insufferable, and indoor heating literally sucks the water out of our skin, making if feel parched and tight. And don’t get me started on sun damage! I’ve gotten some of my worst burns on chilly, overcast days, when cool temperatures masked what were in fact, harmful and powerful UV rays. We forget that sun damage happens year round and push our sunscreens out of sight after Labor Day. But we have to make sun protection a year-round priority (doing so will also prevent premature aging!).

That’s why this fall it’s crucial to gear up and purchase products that truly work to hydrate and protect your body with the changing, unpredictable weather: Watch my skin and hair saving tips from a few of my favorite safe, nontoxic brands including Mineral Fusion, Yarok, and Blue Planet Eyewear. (And scroll down to enter the Mineral Fusion contest!)
