Beauty in Strength, Power in Vulnerability: Suzanne Rae Spring/Summer 2013 Ready-to-Wear Collection
Brooklyn-based designer Suzanne Rae found inspiration in the photography of Francesca Woodman for her Spring/Summer 2013 collection which “explores a woman’s curious ability to be both delicate and strong.” The collection premiered during New York Fashion Week at the Philippine Center on 5th Avenue.
“Pairing this with minimalism, which often carries masculine overtones” Rae says, “the collection seeks a balance, reflecting a more progressive and less conventional expression of femininity.”
The color palette featured soft neutrals. Off-white, khaki, gold, shades of gray, and grayish blues were complemented with bold corset bracelets and necklaces by WXYZ Jewelry.
The shoes were by Solestruck and Ma Petit Shoe.

Lindsay holds a BS in Global Business Studies and Marketing from Manhattan College, and received the 2012 Honors Award at Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
